Municipalities on the Front Lines of Climate Change: Prepping in the Wake of COVID
Updated: Jul 14, 2020
I am honored to have collaborated with Julie Galvin-Smith of JSG Communications on this important article about Municipalities as the front lines of Climate Change. Not only does Julie manage her own communication firm serving the utility and renewable energy industries, but she is also an elected town meeting member of her town. The article discusses applicable lessons from COVID19, innovative approaches (e.g. "Agile Method") to consider and prospective funding sources in the preparations for this most formidable of threats. Please check it out and forward the link to folks who might be interested... particularly stakeholders at municipalities on whose shoulders these responsibilities rest. They will find it helpful to their thought process and building awareness amongst their peers! This article also represents a foundation for future articles about the innovative and applicable technologies ("climatetech"), platforms and services available to municipalities. Stayed tuned for those. Lastly, keep an eye out for upcoming forums and speaker series through Greentown Labs and other venues intended to connect "customer voices" with the folks working on climate solutions.
