Moneer H. Azzam
Principal
Moneer is a recognized leader in the global sustainable infrastructure space with over 30 years of experience in clean energy project development and product innovation. A serial entrepreneur, Moneer previously founded and led SolarOne Solutions, growing it into one of the largest solar lighting companies in the U.S. He has contributed to the founding of numerous climate tech initiatives and serves as a professor at the Tufts Derby Entrepreneurship Center. At BCI, Moneer leads vision and partnerships. He is deeply committed to community-driven innovation and brings a strong background in standards-setting, product commercialization, and equitable decarbonization pathways. Moneer received DEI Training through Greentown Labs and served on the DEI Working Group there to establish community wide best practices.

Rohit Nayak
Co-founder and Product Lead
Rohit Nayak is an engineer turned entrepreneur, with over a decade of experience building and scaling ventures at the intersection of education, technology, and social impact. A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and Babson College MBA graduate (BA/ML), he currently serves as Co-founder and Product Lead at Beacon Climate Innovations, where he drives product development and adoption of CEERUM, a SaaS solution supporting municipalities in energy transition initiatives. Previously, Rohit co-founded EcoAd, a circular packaging venture that employed 240 people and produced 13 million eco-friendly units, and worked with organizations such as AB InBev and the Indian Angel Network. His work has been featured by CNBC, Forbes, and India Today, and he is recognized as a Climate Reality Leader, WEF Davos50 member, and Distinguished Alumni of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune.

Susie Shaw
Community Lead
Susie’s diverse skillset, knowledgebase and network acquired over 20 years of work and community engagement experience provide an effective resource for liaising with community leaders and forging trust between stakeholders. Susie is responsible for bringing together local resources to perform projects with a specific eye towards equitable workforce and economic development. Some of the fields that Susie has worked in include workforce coordination at Comcast Cable, financial services at TD Bank North, and equipment sales at EquipNet. Susie has run her own small local business consulting firm since 2021 and serves on the board to the TRUE Collective in Taunton MA. She has been an active member of the Brockton Community.

Tejas Farkase
Ecosystem Lead
Tejas brings over 10 years of experience in managing cross-sector programs focused on energy resilience, construction, and systems innovation. An engineer with an MBA, Tejas leads BCI’s Resilient Energy & Infrastructure Consortium (RE&IC), a network that supports climate-forward implementation partners across New England. He is certified in Climate and Sustainability Job Simulation and Lean Supply Chain Management. Tejas completed DE&I coursework as part of his MBA program and Babson.

Aidan Banerjee
Product and Data Specialist
Aidan is a full-stack app developer and machine learning engineer specializing in environmental and energy solutions, with over four years of experience building data-driven applications for wind energy optimization, environmental monitoring, and sustainable infrastructure. He is a recent graduate of Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Tufts University with minors in Environmental Science and Policy and Mathematics. Aidan combines technical expertise with a strong foundation in environmental policy research. His professional experience spans roles at Environment America, Powerley Energy, and the Data Intensive Studies Center, where he contributed to clean water campaigns, energy outage detection systems, and offshore wind research using machine learning and signal processing. At Tufts JumboCode, he led agile teams delivering full-stack applications for nonprofits.

Makara Le
Project Coordinator
Makara’s responsible for tracking the projects BCI supports and strives to keep them on track by scheduling and facilitating meetings, ensuring that useful notes are kept and action items are taken. She brings a unique blend of business (MBA from UMass Isenberg School) and economics education with community development work to the role. She aptly applies business analytical and project management skills to the many nuanced challenges of community work and its intersection with the practicalities of business operations. In addition to working directly with Beacon Climate Innovations she has also worked directly with TRUE Diversity, one of its CBO Clients based in Taunton Massachusetts.

Daniela Salazar
Marketing
Daniela is a mission-driven sustainability professional who supports marketing and strategic communications efforts at Beacon Climate Innovations. Currently a Master of Science in Sustainability candidate at Tufts University, she brings over 13 years of experience and a proven ability to leverage data-driven storytelling to drive organizational engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Communication Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and possesses extensive expertise spanning Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), community relations, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Prior to joining Beacon Climate, Daniela managed comprehensive communications campaigns, multimedia content creation, and cross-channel social media strategies across non-profits, foundations, consultancies, and multinational manufacturing and automotive companies. At Beacon Climate, Daniela applies her expertise in digital media, content strategy, and capacity building to amplify the organization's impact and foster authentic community partnerships. She utilizes a uniquely cross-functional approach to ensure that sustainability initiatives are communicated inclusively and effectively.

Devon Maddux
Fundraising
Devon Maddux joins Beacon Climate Innovations with a career built at the intersection of sustainable growth, financial strategy, and revenue operations. With an MBA in Sustainable Innovation from the University of Vermont, Devon brings analytical rigor and mission-driven perspective that climate work demands. His background spans Revenue Operations at Procore Technologies, investment operations at Crewcial Partners, and ESG framework development at Morningstar. Devon has also advised early-stage companies through his own consulting practice, NextStage, with an emphasis on GTM strategy, financial projections, and impact investment diligence. At BCI, Devon focuses on FP&A and GTM/Growth Strategy, applying data-driven rigor to accelerating climate innovation from concept to commercial scale. He's grounded in the belief that sustainable value creation and financial performance aren't in tension, they reinforce each other. Devon’s early career in film production and the performing arts gives him a storyteller's instinct that shapes how he approaches complex problems and communicates strategy to his audiences.
